My web design experiance began on a sim game called HorseLand. HorseLand used to be a fun, interactive, and creative game for older kids who liked horses, or dogs. The game was basically a game based on Stats. You could also create a layout for your page. And while I was interested in the sim animals, I was more interested in the graphic making. I soon began to learn the art of HTML coding, and design. I started off in a crappy program that came with my camera, then a scrapbook program. The first program I ever bought was Corel Paint Shop Pro X. With that graphic program, my graphics began to improve. This game really showed me the way.

Eventually I bought a domain, called pink-polka-dots. Lame name, but it was my first site ok? :) Well, actually I had some sites on Freewebs, but they were more like, allisonsgraphics or something equally as stupid. My first domain basically sucked, and I eventually quit with that site. At the same time, I was running ANOTHER site: a fansite for David Archuleta. But hosting was expensive, so I had to quit both of my sites.

I missed owning a website so much, so in December of 2008, I learned about subdomain hosting, and soon I found Kendra at Vivid-Avenue.Net. She quickly decided to host me, and that's when the site SweetSpells was born. And now I'm finally here, in July of 2009, with my own domain.

Where did you get the name SweetSpells!? I got the name from the back of a chapstick. It was a Halloween kind, and my mom had bought it from Avon. I saw the word SweetSpells and automatically thought, that's a great site name! Although I didn't exactly think of it myself, I still love the site name. I was the first & original site called SweetSpells, and any others you see are copiers. :)
